Your ticket ensures you are part of the group utilising the charter service — your fees form part of the total cost of the vehicle from its starting point (Northern or Western Cape) to its end point along the Karoo Highlands Route. You will board and disembark at the locations indicated on your ticket.
1. Liability
1.1
All persons entering a Karoo Line Cruiser Bus Dienste (Pty) Ltd vehicle and/or property do so entirely at their own risk.
1.2
Karoo Line Cruiser Bus Dienste (Pty) Ltd is not liable for any loss or damages (including consequential or special damages or loss of profits), loss of life, bodily injury or damage to or loss of property of whatsoever nature and howsoever caused, whether or not caused by Karoo Line Cruiser Bus Dienste (Pty) Ltd, its directors, officers, servants, agents or any other person acting on its behalf, arising out of or connected in any way with the transportation or non-transportation of any passenger or their property.
2. Tickets
2.1
The ticket is proof of the agreement of transport between Karoo Line Cruiser Bus Dienste (Pty) Ltd, the purchaser and the passenger, and the accompanying terms and conditions are the entire agreement between the parties.
2.2
A ticket is valid only for the passenger to whom it is issued, for the route and date shown. The passenger may be required to produce their unique ticket and appropriate identification to check in.
2.3
It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure that the correct information is shown on the ticket. Any alteration to a ticket may render it invalid.
2.4
Passengers are not allowed to break their journey into multiple legs unless separate tickets are issued for each individual journey.
2.5
Only tickets purchased from Karoo Line Cruiser Bus Dienste (Pty) Ltd or its appointed agents are valid. Tickets obtained from any other source shall be void and the bearer shall have no claim against Karoo Line Cruiser Bus Dienste (Pty) Ltd.
2.6
Tickets are non-transferable. All transfers are subject to the cancellation fee in clause 3.
2.7
For credit card bookings made via the Karoo Line website, the ticket will be automatically cancelled unless the cardholder complies with all requirements stipulated during booking, which may include presenting the credit card used and the ID document of the cardholder upon boarding.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
3.1.1
Tickets cancelled 48 hours or more before the scheduled departure time: 50% refund.
3.1.2
Tickets purchased within 48 hours of departure may not be cancelled. If unused, a 100% cancellation fee applies.

To cancel or change a ticket, contact Karoo Line Cruiser Bus Dienste (Pty) Ltd via WhatsApp or email.
4. Luggage & Goods
4.1
Each fare-paying passenger may take, free of charge and at own risk, two pieces of luggage each not exceeding 80cm × 60cm × 30cm in size, with a total combined mass not exceeding 15 kg.
4.2
Karoo Line reserves the right to charge an additional rate per kilogram for luggage exceeding the above limits.
4.3
Karoo Line reserves the right to refuse the carriage of any luggage, goods or persons in its sole discretion.
4.4
Karoo Line is not liable, to the fullest extent permissible at law, for any loss, damage, death or injury including loss or damage to luggage, goods, personal effects, bodily injury, death or loss of income. The passenger indemnifies Karoo Line against any claims, whether direct, indirect or consequential.
4.5
Karoo Line does not provide insurance cover for passengers, their property or luggage. All passengers should ensure they are adequately insured.
4.6
Karoo Line will not participate in the transport of weapons or illicit goods, money or persons, and will co-operate fully with authorities to combat crime.
4.7
The following items will not be transported: weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, illegal drugs or narcotics, hazardous materials (acids, gases, flammables, poisons, radioactive materials), live animals, abattoir products, corpses, perishable goods (except food/beverages for personal consumption while travelling), dry ice, used fuel tanks, paint.
4.9
Should Karoo Line be held liable by a court of competent jurisdiction, all direct, indirect and consequential damages are limited in total to R5 000 for travel within the Republic of South Africa.
4.10
Each passenger may take hand luggage on board (e.g. laptop bag, rucksack, handbag) not exceeding 2 kg.
5. Passenger Conduct & Requirements
5.1
Karoo Line reserves the right to inspect tickets, travel documents, luggage, goods, packages and parcels.
5.2
Karoo Line reserves the right to refuse or discontinue transport of any passenger or their luggage, provided such refusal does not result in unfair discrimination.
5.3
Karoo Line will not refuse transport of passengers merely because they are physically challenged.
5.4
Smoking, alcohol and drugs are prohibited on all Karoo Line vehicles. Karoo Line reserves the right to refuse transport to any passenger who is intoxicated upon boarding.
5.5
Karoo Line reserves the right to revise seat allocations without prior notice and to operate substitute vehicles should operational requirements dictate.
5.6
No animals are permitted on Karoo Line vehicles.
5.7
Expectant mothers: Passengers beyond 30 weeks of pregnancy are not permitted to travel. Passengers between 28–30 weeks must provide a medical certificate confirming fitness to travel.
5.8
Passengers with special needs, medical conditions or disabilities must inform Karoo Line before travelling.
5.9
Passengers with any medical condition are advised to consult a medical practitioner prior to departure.
5.10
The wearing of seat belts is compulsory.
5.11
Karoo Line reserves the right to refuse transport of any minor child or adult in its sole discretion and shall not be liable for loss or damage arising from such refusal.
5.12
These terms and conditions are severable. The invalidity of any part does not affect the validity of any other part.
